About

Erik Rush is a New York City-born former political columnist, author, musician and artist. Raised by wolves (there was a high level of dysfunction in the family of origin), Erik’s early life was punctuated by the influences of the Civil Rights Movement and zeitgeist of the time, as well as eclectic cultural influences (his mother founded an African/Afro-Cuban dance and drum troupe in which he participated as a child)). Erik worked as a biomedical researcher and a club, stage and studio musician in his twenties, remaining in research for another 20 years before switching his focus to writing and other endeavors. In February of 2007, he broke the story about the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s ties to then-candidate Senator Barack Obama. Erik is a veteran of appearances on Fox News, CNN and countless radio shows. Now, he hosts Mypsychosis, a non-political podcast in which he shares his views on our sometimes crazy-making world with a mix of irreverence and respect, discernment, alter egos and a comedic edge.
